Make a donation to the Red Cross

A donation to the Irish Red Cross will be used immediately and effectively to help vulnerable people in need, here in Ireland or in an emergency overseas.

If you can, a smaller donation given more often can make a huge difference – we can then plan our work and we won’t need to launch appeals as often.

However - a donation now is very valuable to us as well, so whatever way you can help support our work will be much appreciated.

What your money can do………

€15 could help buy 10 Emergency Food Ration Bars, which provide a highly nutritious and balanced meal for very malnourished children, and help them on the way back to health

€20.84 – this amount every month over a year will mean that, if you pay income tax, your donation can be worth even more. See Tax Effective Giving for more details.

€50 could help supply two children with school books, paper and pencils for a full year, enabling them to stay at school when otherwise those costs could mean they have to drop out.

€100 could help provide seeds and tools for 2 families in Ethiopia, to enable them return to self sufficiency

€150 can provide a basic food ration – maize, beans and cooking oil for four families in Malawi for a month
